SAME DAY RESULTS! SELF-COLLECTED SWAB! SELF-PAY!

Utilizing accurate PCR testing, Lindon Labs offers women’s health tests for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) of three common pathogens: Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, and Trichomoniasis.  If left untreated, these pathogens can cause permanent damage to a woman’s reproductive system, including infertility, or potentially causing fatal ectopic pregnancy[1].

You can come to our lab, request and pay for the test. We will provide a swab and special transport medium for the test, which you can then take with you and collect the specimen from the comfort of your home (instructions provided). After collecting the specimen, you have to bring it back to the lab within 2 hours from when you decide to collect the sample.

No doctor’s order is needed for this self-pay service. You can take the results to your health provider to receive counsel and/or the appropriate treatment. You must be at least 18 years of age to use this self-directed service or have parental consent (for minors 14 and older).

Chlamydia

The most common reportable bacterial STI in the US[2]. It often occurs without symptoms but is associated with significant healthcare costs, affects people of all ages, and is most common in young women.

Check out the CDC fact sheets about Chlamydia here.

Gonorrhea

Gonorrhea is an STI that can cause infection in the genitals, rectum, and throat. It is very common, especially among young people ages 15-24 years[3]. Gonorrhea often presents itself without symptoms, but it can have serious consequences if left untreated. In women, mild symptoms can be mistaken by bladder or vaginal infection.

For more information please refer to the CDC fact sheets here.

Trichomoniasis

Trichomoniasis is a common STD infection caused by a protozoan infection (Trichomonas vaginalis)[4]. Older women are more likely than younger women to have this infection, but it can occur regardless. Many infected people are non-symptomatic. Infected pregnant women are more likely to have the baby early and for the baby to have a low weight.

You can firn the CDC fact sheets about Trichomoniasis here.
